Summary: The UX Designer role at AMS involves collaborating within cross-functional design teams to create user-centric digital solutions for a major UK retail bank. The position emphasizes strategic product design, user research, and the development of high-quality prototypes to enhance customer experiences. This is a 12-month contract with a hybrid working arrangement, allowing for both remote and on-site work in London. The role requires a strong focus on usability and innovation in the fintech space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for product design across the portfolio, providing a strategic approach with end-to-end design thinking.
- Produce journey maps, UX wireframes, hi-fidelity UI and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas to obtain stakeholder buy-in.
- Manage and lead workshops, craft reports and contribute to playback sessions with multiple stakeholders.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and meet the required standards through peer reviews and knowledge sharing and be a leader in Human Centred Design best practice.
- Lead the design thinking in your projects, including new ways of working, new user research techniques and new products within the Fintech innovation space to provide high quality designs to meet the needs of our customers and the business.
- Run and manage ideation, brainstorming and critic workshops with multiple stakeholders.
- Assist with and build on the design system of the projects in which the team are involved.
- Work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to find elegant but practical solutions to design challenges that appeal to customers.
- Set the vision for the user experience and creating the space for others to collaborate.
- Rapidly produce multiple concepts and prototypes.
- Demonstrate your strategic and user Experience (UX) thinking to problem solve and translate customer insights into designed experiences.
Key Skills:
- Experience of delivering customer focused designs, ideally including native mobile design.
- Experience in launching customer focused digital products.
- Experience of developing customer facing digital applications and products.
- Wireframing & Prototyping - Figma.
- Experience with user research methods and usability testing.
- Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and interaction flows.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Portfolio showcasing UX case studies and problem-solving.
- UX Accessibility - nice to have
- UX User Zoom Testing - nice to have.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a UX Designer for a 12 month contract based in London with remote work available (hybrid)
