Summary: An established global consumer-facing organization is seeking a UI Product Designer for a 6-month contract to enhance its direct-to-consumer digital platforms. The role emphasizes strong UI design skills and broader product design capabilities, particularly in design systems, and involves collaboration with engineering and product teams. The designer will create cohesive and accessible interfaces for web and native applications while reporting to the Head of Product Design. Key Responsibilities:
- Evolve and maintain a scalable design system that supports multiple brands and product surfaces
- Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to ensure consistent implementation across platforms
- Ensure user interfaces meet accessibility, localisation, and brand standards
- Create and maintain clear documentation, guidelines, and best practices for the design system
- Use testing, feedback, and data insights to continuously improve UI quality and system effectiveness
- Engage with senior stakeholders, presenting clear rationale, insights, and recommendations
Key Skills:
- Proven experience working within a large, well-known consumer-facing digital organisation
- Strong track record of building, launching, and scaling design systems
- Deep understanding of interaction design, accessibility standards, and modern UI principles
- Experience working within cross-functional teams spanning design, product, and engineering
- Demonstrated experience designing for responsive web and native mobile applications
- High proficiency with tools such as Figma, Tokens Studio, GitHub, and Confluence
