Summary: The Interaction / UX Designer role is a 6-month contract position focused on enhancing digital services for a major UK public sector organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver high-quality interaction and UX solutions across digital services
- Translate user research insights into clear user journeys and interaction patterns
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and design artefacts to communicate ideas
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, researchers, and stakeholders
- Ensure designs comply with GDS standards and best practices
- Contribute to service assessments and continuous improvement of live services
- Support development of scalable, reusable design patterns
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as an Interaction or UX Designer in digital delivery environments
- Strong experience working to GDS standards on public sector or government projects
- Ability to design end-to-end user journeys for complex services
- Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams
- Strong prototyping skills (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar)
- Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in service transformation or redesign programmes

Contract Details
Day Rate: £400/day (Outside IR35)
Duration: 6 months initial contract
