Summary: The role of User Experience Designer involves working as a UX practitioner within a consultancy focused on user-centered design (UCD) methodologies for a government project. The position requires leading client engagements, reviewing user requirements, and facilitating workshops while advocating for the end-user. The consultant will also coach team members and apply standard UCD approaches. This position is based on-site in Corsham and is outside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as a UX practitioner within a team of UX consultants, occasionally taking on a lead UX role.
  • Own specific work areas and coach others when needed.
  • Lead client engagement for specific areas of work concerning UX.
  • Review and prioritise user requirements across complex, diverse audience types.
  • Plan and facilitate effective workshops.
  • Apply standard UCD approaches.

Key Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of UX methodologies.
  • Extensive experience within Government Digital Services.
  • Proficiency in design packages: Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
  • Ability to demonstrate working within UCD environments across MCD teams.
  • Experience working in agile development / lean UX.

Salary (Rate): £525 daily

UX Designer - SC Cleared Gov Project - 6 months 2 days on-site Corsham - Outside IR35 - £525 p.d. Currently in search of a User Experience Consultant to join a leading consultancy operating across key phases of their UCD methodology being the primary advocate for the end-user applying your strong understanding of UX best practice.

What you’ll do as a UX Consultant:

  • Work as a UX practitioner within a team of UX consultants occasionally taking on a lead UX role, own specific work areas and coach others when needed
  • Lead the client engagement for specific areas of work concerning UX
  • Review and prioritise user requirements, often across complex, diverse audience types, cross referenced with business-critical objectives and goals
  • Plan and facilitate effective workshops
  • Apply standard UCD approaches

Experience you’ll need as a UX Consultant

  • Strong knowledge of UX methodologies
  • Extensive experience within Government Digital Services
  • Proficiency in design packages: Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite etc.
  • Ability to demonstrate working within UCD environments across MCD teams
