Summary: Our Fortune 500 client is seeking an AWS/IaC Developer to contribute to their project based in Washington, DC, with remote work options available. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS services, Infrastructure as Code, and security automation. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work in ambiguous environments. A Bachelor's degree in a computer science field is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize AWS services and cloud-native architecture patterns including EKS, EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM policies, and network security.
- Manage secrets and security automation using tools like AWS Secrets Manager and HashiCorp Vault.
- Develop scripts in bash or Python and work with CI/CD tools and pipelines.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK or Terraform.
- Troubleshoot issues in both Linux and Windows environments.
- Work effectively in ambiguous or greenfield environments.
- Complete IRS Moderate Risk Background Investigation (IRS MBI).
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of experience with AWS services and cloud-native architecture.
- 3+ years of experience with secrets management and security automation.
- Proficient in bash or Python scripting.
- 3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK or Terraform).
- Strong troubleshooting skills in Linux/Windows environments.
- Bachelor's degree in a computer science field.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Organization Landing zone (nice to have).
- Familiarity with GovCloud (nice to have).
- Experience with observability tools (nice to have).
- Comfortable with agile methodologies and ticketing tools like Jira (nice to have).

Job Description:
5+ years of experience with AWS services and cloud-native architecture patterns such as EKS, EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM policies, security groups, and network security.
3+ years of experience with secrets management and security automation (e.g AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault)
Proficient in bash or python scripting and familiar with CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g GitHub actions, GitLab CI/CD)
3+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code such as AWS CDK or Terraform
Strong troubleshoot skills in both Linux/Windows environments, including tools such as test-netconnection, nslookups, traceroute.
Comfortable working in ambiguous or greenfield environments
IRS Moderate Risk Background Investigation (IRS MBI)
Bachelor's degree in a CS field
