Cyber Security Architect

We are seeking an experienced 2 x Cyber Security Architect with a mandatory telecommunications background to join a leading UK telecoms organisation.
This role will focus on designing and embedding security across complex telco networks, cloud platforms, infrastructure, applications and critical services, ensuring security is built into technology from the outset.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and review secure architectures across telecommunications networks, cloud, infrastructure and applications.
- Conduct threat modelling, security risk assessments and architecture reviews.
- Define security controls covering IAM, encryption, network segmentation, monitoring and privileged access.
- Support the delivery of Zero Trust and secure-by-design principles.
- Work closely with Network, Engineering, Cloud, Security and Architecture teams.
- Provide security guidance for new products, services and major transformation programmes.
Essential Requirements
Strong Cyber Security Architecture experience
Previous Telecommunications/Telco experience (MANDATORY)
Experience securing telecoms networks and enterprise environments
Strong AWS and/or Azure security knowledge
Network Security expertise including segmentation, firewalls and secure connectivity
Experience with threat modelling and security risk assessments
Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001 and CIS Controls
Ability to engage with senior technical and business stakeholders
Highly Desirable
- 4G/5G, Mobile Core, SDN/NFV or Telecom Infrastructure Security
- Zero Trust Architecture
- DevSecOps
- CISSP, CISM, SABSA or TOGAF
