Summary: The Underwriting Assistant role involves providing essential support to the underwriting process, focusing on account management and customer service. Key Responsibilities:
- Support Underwriters by handling new business submissions, renewal processes, quoting, rating, and issuance
- Manage account activities, ensuring smooth progress through the underwriting process
- Enter and update policy data in the administration system
- Assist in gathering information for new business and renewal quotations
- Liaise with brokers to address queries and provide prompt responses
- Prepare tools for quoting and rating, and verify data for accuracy
- Produce quote documentation and handle administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing
- Support risk analysis in alignment with underwriting guidelines
- Ensure pricing and binding conditions are met
- Issue new and renewal quotes, binders, and policies in accordance with company guidelines
Key Skills:
- College Degree (Any field)
- 1+ Years work experience in a Support/Administrative/Customer Service role
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- A collaborative team player with a customer-first attitude
