Summary: The UK Payroll Lead will oversee the payroll functions for approximately 50,000 UK-based employees, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely service delivery. This role involves leading a team of payroll professionals, managing complex payroll issues, and implementing process improvements while supporting the Global Payroll strategy. The position requires strong leadership skills and extensive payroll experience, particularly within Financial Services. The role is a 12-month full-time contract based in Northampton.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire the UK Payroll team to deliver best-in-class payroll services.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employee types.
- Manage compliance with statutory obligations and liaise with tax authorities.
- Resolve escalated payroll issues and implement changes to processes and systems.
- Support team development and succession planning.
- Contribute to the Global Payroll strategy and collaborate with other teams.
- Provide guidance to employees on payroll-related queries.
- Drive continuous improvements and manage risks associated with payroll operations.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience in payroll administration, particularly in Financial Services.
