Summary: The UI Designer (Production) role involves collaborating with UX and UI design teams to create visually appealing components for leading automotive brands. The designer will ensure adherence to brand guidelines and design systems while maintaining high visual quality standards. This position requires a passion for detail and a strong understanding of user experience principles. The role is hybrid, requiring two days in the office each week, and is confirmed as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with UX and UI design teams to interpret and realize creative intent.
- Design components that align with development teams' understanding and specifications.
- Ensure visual quality control to complex HMI specifications with pixel-perfect UI.
- Act as the UI champion, promoting good design practices and educating team members.
Key Skills:
- Proficient in Figma and Adobe Suite including Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experience working with and evolving design systems.
- A portfolio showcasing previous work as a UI Designer.
- Able to work collaboratively between cross-functional teams.
- Degree level qualification in a related design field.

Job Title: UI Designer (Production)
Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire - Hybrid 2 days per week in the office
Rate: £27.21ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or £20.35 ph on a PAYE basis
Employment Type: Contract (Currently financed until March 2027)
Hours: Standard 40 Hours Per Week

Position Description:
Working across some of the most desirable automotive brands in the world, you'll join at an exciting time.
Collaborating closely between the UX and UI design teams, you'll be responsible for interpreting and realising creative intent, designing components that are faithful to the vision which can be understood by development teams; whilst ensuring visual quality control to complex HMI specifications with pixel-perfect UI. You'll act as the UI champion, promoting good design practices and educating where possible.
You're a passionate designer with experience in working with strong brand guidelines and design systems, underpinned by good UX thinking, principles and practice.
You love working in the detail and have an interest in both technical and creative design. You know what makes an engaging user experience and the importance of consistent brand-led narratives.
Skills:
Proficient in Figma & Adobe suite inc.Photoshop, Illustrator.
Experience working with design systems, and actively contributing to and evolving them
Education:
Experience working as a UI Designer
A portfolio showcasing previous work
