Summary: The UAT Tester role involves collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to ensure that user acceptance testing (UAT) aligns with business requirements. The position requires the development and execution of UAT test plans, as well as the identification and tracking of defects. The tester will also support business users during UAT execution and validate data integrity across integrated systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Develop and maintain UAT test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Execute UAT test cases and document results.
  • Identify, log, and track defects or issues, and work with development teams to resolve them.
  • Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a user perspective.
  • Ensure that all testing activities are carried out in accordance with the defined test strategy and schedule.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on UAT progress, issues, and risks.
  • Support business users during UAT execution and provide guidance as needed.
  • Validate data integrity and system functionality across integrated systems.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in UAT or business testing roles.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a user-focused mindset.
