Summary: The UAT Tester role based in Knutsford involves collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to ensure that user acceptance testing (UAT) meets business requirements. The position requires the development and execution of UAT test plans and scripts, along with defect tracking and reporting. This role is on-site for 2 to 3 days a week and is classified as inside IR35. The contract duration extends until December 31, 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Develop and maintain UAT test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Execute UAT test cases and document results.
- Identify, log, and track defects or issues, and work with development teams to resolve them.
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide feedback from a user perspective.
- Ensure that all testing activities are carried out in accordance with the defined test strategy and schedule.
- Provide regular updates and reports on UAT progress, issues, and risks.
- Support business users during UAT execution and provide guidance as needed.
- Validate data integrity and system functionality across integrated systems.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience in UAT or business testing roles.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, TestRail).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
