Summary: The role is for a Contract TypeScript Engineer specializing in NextJs and React, aimed at contributing to the development of a new ecommerce system for a major retailer. The position requires strong technical skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, and database management, along with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively. The initial contract is for 6 months with a high likelihood of extension. The working arrangement is hybrid, based in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a new ecommerce system using TypeScript, NextJs, and React.
- Work independently to meet project deadlines.
- Review code and promote clean coding principles and design patterns.
- Utilize SQL or NoSQL databases in development tasks.
- Implement additional skills such as React Hooks, Rest, GraphQL, SCSS, CSS, TDD, Unit Testing, Docker, GIT, and Agile methodologies.
Key Skills:
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, NextJs, and React.
- Detailed knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
- Experience with React Hooks, Rest, GraphQL, SCSS, CSS, TDD, Unit Testing, Docker, GIT, and Agile.
- Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical contexts.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Salary (Rate): £450 daily

They are about to embark upon the design and development of a brand new ecommerce system that is set to take the industry by storm.
We are seeking 2 contract TypeScript Engineers with strong NextJs and React to join their highly respected Web development team. TypeScript Developer applicants must have exceptional NextJs, React and JavaScript and detailed knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases. Additional skills in React Hooks, Rest, GraphQL, SCSS, CSS, TDD, Unit Testing, Docker, GIT and Agile are also required.
All applicants must have previous experience of working independently to meet deadlines, reviewing code and promoting clean coding principles and design patterns, as well as excellent communication skills in technical and non-technical aspects.
The initial contracts will be written for 6 months and are highly likely to be extended thereafter.
Location: Hybrid (London)
Rate: £400 - £450p/d outside IR35
