Summary: The EMEA 2-wheel Off Road Motorsport Communications Manager (Consultant) at Monster Energy Europe Ltd is responsible for developing and executing brand communications activities across key motorsport disciplines. This role focuses on creating engaging content and building relationships with media and athletes to enhance the Monster brand's profile. The position requires collaboration with various teams while also offering autonomy in identifying marketing opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports communications and a passion for motorsports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation and execution of cross-market, multi-channel brand storytelling communications plans across owned and earned channels for MX, FMX, Speedway & Rally Raid.
- Production and omni-channel distribution of compelling content to generate the greatest impact.
- Act as the key Monster Energy media representative in respective paddocks, building and maintaining relationships with endemic and non-endemic media outlets.
- Serve as the point person between the central comms team, Sports marketing team, and Digital team to leverage opportunities across the EMEA & OSP business.
- Manage athlete and team media opportunities to maximize leverage with contractual time available.
- Oversee on-site content producers to ensure required content is captured for marketing and commercial needs.
- Manage rights holders and travel to key rounds of respective Championships (MX, Speedway & Rally Raid).
Key Skills:
- 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role with a passion for sport.
- Strong understanding of marketing channels (owned, earned, and paid) and their utilization.
- Experience in a global role or with global campaigns/executions.
- In-depth understanding of the editorial media landscape across relevant verticals with a ready list of contacts.
- Strong stakeholder management skills including athletes, talents, partners, and agencies.
- Ability to direct content creation and manage content shoots from production to post-production.
- Excellent storytelling skills and knowledge of effective storytelling elements.

POSITION OVERVIEW
As a key part of the Central EMEA Communications Team, the two-wheel off road Motorsport Communications Manager (consultant) will work on the Monster Energy brand– with a focus on developing and executing compelling brand communications activity across the international key sports of MX, FMX, Speedway & Rally Raid - developing activations that appeal to both a current and new generation of fans as well as ensuring that the credibility and the authenticity of the brand is maintained. The role is responsible for delivery of engaging editorial brand communications (content) – across owned and earned channels - with the purpose to build our fanbase engage and excite our fans and raise the profile of the Monster brand and lifestyle. Working closely with the Two-wheel Off road motorsports Manager & Director of Marketing special projects, the role will take responsibility for the creation of multi-channel brand communications activity across owned channels and earned media activation, through content creation, relationship building and athlete amplification - selecting the relevant channels for content distribution to ensure the best results. As well as being part of a team – the role will offer autonomy and opportunity to identify opportunities around huge global marketing assets – developing and executing plans accordingly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Creation and execution of cross-market, multi-channel brand storytelling communications plans across owned and earned channels for MX, FMX, Speedway & Rally Raid amongst others
- Production and omni-channel distribution of compelling content to generate the greatest impact
- The key Monster Energy media representative in the respective paddocks – building and maintaining relationships with endemic media as well as looking for opportunities for non- endemic media outlets
- Being the point person between the central comms team, Sports marketing team and the Digital team – capitalising on opportunities and proactively looking to leverage these across the EMEA & OSP business
- Management of athlete and team media opportunities – ensuring that Monster is gaining the best leverage with contractual time available
- Management of on-site content producers (still and moving image) to ensure that the required content is captured for business needs (marketing and commercial)
- Management of rights holders
- Travel to identified key rounds of the respective Championships (MX, Speedway & Rally Raid)
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role with a passion for sport
- Strong understanding of the marketing channels available (owned, earned and paid) and how best to utilise these
- Experience in a global role or experience of global campaigns/executions
- In depth understanding of the editorial media landscape across the relevant verticals (with a list of contacts ready to put to work)
- Strong stakeholder management skills – inc. athletes, talents, partners, agencies, etc.
- An eye for great content and directing content creation
- Experience managing content shoots – from production, direction, post-production
- Great story-telling skills and knowledge of what makes a good story
- A self-starter attitude
- In depth understanding of social media and digital platforms
