Summary: The role of Tutor involves delivering tailored 1:1 and small group tuition in core subjects to students in Alternative Provision settings in Greater Manchester. Tutors will support young people facing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, helping them to re-engage with learning. Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering tailored 1:1 and small group tuition across core subjects (e.g. English, Maths, Science)
- Planning and adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs

- Building positive, trusting relationships to encourage engagement and progress
- Working collaboratively with staff to support each student's personalised learning plan
Key Skills:
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally within alternative provision or similar settings
- Strong subject knowledge in at least one core area
- A patient, flexible, and creative approach to teaching
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
- A genuine passion for making a difference to students who need extra support
