Summary: The Turnaround QA/QC Engineer at Bilfinger UK is responsible for ensuring quality assurance and quality control during turnaround activities in various industrial sectors. The role involves preparing QA documentation, conducting visual inspections, managing welding documentation, and liaising with engineers to resolve QA-related issues efficiently. The position requires a strong focus on compliance with site requirements and maintaining traceability of completed tasks for client handover. Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of QA Documentation in accordance with agreed site requirements.
  • Preparation of welding documentation in accordance with site approved weld procedures and QA/QC system requirements.
  • Identify applications for turnaround not covered by existing site approved weld procedures.
  • Assist with recruitment and approval of welders required for the turnaround.
  • Conduct visual inspections on completed welding in accordance with agreed standards and design criteria.
  • Manage and execute QA/NDT requirements of all turnaround welding activities.
  • Manage and execute required checks on completed flange joints made by Bilfinger UK and subcontractors.
  • Complete QA documentation to ensure 100% traceability of completed flange joints for handover to client QA engineer.
  • Complete welding QA documentation for handover and acceptance by clients' inspection.
  • Liaise with area engineer, site supervisor, and assurance engineers to resolve QA related issues efficiently.
  • Ensure QA boards reflect the QA status of each completed task for safe and efficient handback to operations.
  • Compile all completed documentation in preparation for archiving.
