Trust Doctor (CT1-2 equivalent) in Emergency Medicine

Summary: The Trust Doctor (CT1-2) position in Emergency Medicine offers a 12-month opportunity starting in August 2025 at St Richard's Hospital and Worthing Hospital. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent care for patients in the Emergency Department and observation unit.
• Manage primary care of Emergency Medicine patients, including trauma cases and minor surgical procedures.
• Participate in the full shift rota pattern with a 1:5.6 night and 1:3 weekend frequency.
• Engage in educational activities and teaching of medical students and nursing staff.
• Involve in departmental audits and policy development.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and patient queue management.
• Ensure appropriate referral of patients to inpatient facilities.

Key Skills:

• Basic medical degree and full GMC Registration with a licence to practice.
• Advanced Life Support Certificate from the Resuscitation Council UK or equivalent.
• Experience in a UKFPO-affiliated foundation programme or equivalent clinical experience.
• Ability to apply sound clinical judgement and work in multi-professional teams.
• Evidence of interest and commitment to teaching and participation in audits.
• Good communication skills, both oral and written.
