This position is within the Global Platforms & Services (GPX) Back Office team, which provides capabilities to meet the ever-evolving compliance, regulatory and accounting needs of the American Express Travel and Lifestyle Services (TLS) business. The broader GPX team builds foundational capabilities through services, data, and automation that power and enhance customer and agent experiences within TLS, and result in bringing American Express card membership to life.
How will you make an impact in this role? The Travel Accounting Systems Analyst - Digital Product Management role focuses on the provision of software solutions to meet the operational, compliance, regulatory and informational needs of TLS in the areas of travel accounting and supplier reconciliation. This role involves partnering closely with stakeholders in the business, other product teams, and technology teams to coordinate the delivery of end-to-end software solutions and process enhancements.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Capture, analysis and alignment of business requirements with stakeholders
- Authoring of user stories and definition of acceptance criteria to meet requirements
- Design, configuration and testing of software solutions within the back-office application
- Partnering with the technology team to design and deliver custom software solutions
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with business analysis, software solution design, software configuration, and user acceptance testing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially the ability to convey complex concepts in simple, concise terms
- Self-starter who can work independently, has exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills, strong organizational skills and great attention to detail
