Summary: The Transport Officer for Children’s and Young Adults in Leicestershire is responsible for overseeing the delivery of passenger transport services, ensuring safety and compliance. This role involves supervising drivers and escorts, maintaining health and safety standards, and liaising with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee fleet operations, ensuring efficient service delivery
• Supervise and support Drivers and Escorts
• Maintain health & safety compliance, risk assessments, and reporting
• Assist in recruitment, training, and performance management
• Liaise with stakeholders and prepare reports as required
• Monitor vehicle maintenance and regulatory compliance
• Identify cost-saving and income-generating opportunities
• Deputise for the Transport Manager when needed
• Communicating with parents – strong customer service skills are essential
