Position - Transition Tutor Start date - ASAP End date - Ongoing tutoring roles throughout the academic year Area: Barnsley Flexible Hours to fit around childs transition into school - always during school hours GBP20 - GBP30 per hour Prospero Teaching are looking for a number of Tutors across Barnsley, to support students in their transition back into a new school place after being previously excluded . These students have sometimes been out of education for a while and need an empathetic and understanding tutor to assit making it a smooth transition back into a school setting. We recieve Tutor referrals for students KS1-KS4 so there is the scope to work with students across all age ranges. Ideally we are looking for Tutors who can commit to school hours throughout the week, but can accept part time availabilty dependant on each students different requirements! EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Must hold QTS or Previous experience of working with students on 1:1 basis e.g. HLTA, Intervention Lead HLTA or equivalent qualification/experience would be ideal Proven track record of improving students performances. Team Teach Qualification would be highly desirable. Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as Safeguarding training is provided) DBS on update service. TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK. Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
