Summary: The role of Transactional Finance Manager involves overseeing billing, credit control, and supplier processes for a client on an interim basis of six months. The position requires leading a transactional finance team and ensuring effective management of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. The candidate will also be responsible for driving process improvements and reporting to senior management. This role is based in Edinburgh with hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team, ensuring effective output and career development.
  • Oversee AP & AR functions, ensuring effective controls.
  • Build positive team culture and drive continuous process improvements.
  • Manage payables, client collections, aged debtors and credit risk.
  • Develop KPI metrics and report to Senior Management.
  • Maintain balance sheet reconciliations and manage corporate card spend.
  • Support system implementations and finance transformation projects.
  • Provide insight and reporting to wider Finance teams.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience in AP/AR functions.
  • Proven track record of managing small teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to consider the bigger picture.
