Key Responsibilities:

• Pro-actively identifying potential or actual emerging risks and driving control enhancements to ensure efficient surveillance activities.
• Analysing activity for potential red flags and escalating appropriately.
• Assisting in providing in-depth analysis of alerts using market data, source system data, and alerting data.
• Supporting the development and implementation of an annual surveillance programme of work that completes on time.
• Keeping up to date with changing regulations and policies.

Key Skills:

• Experience in a Banking environment, ideally Investment Banking.
• Ability to source and assess multiple data and information points for risk-based decisions.
• Familiarity with Fixed Income and Currency products, regulations, and electronic trading concepts.
• Previous quality assurance and calibration experience.
• Surveillance knowledge.
• Knowledge of OTC trading and experience in regulatory filings.
• Data structure knowledge.
• Understanding of trading processes and products.
• Technical understanding to solve complex problems.
• Adaptability to changing market situations and technology.
• Ability to assist in developing policies and procedures.
• Good listening and influencing skills for collaboration at all levels.
• Team Lead/Managerial experience managing a team of 5-6 contractors.
