Summary: The Trade Compliance Officer will be a vital member of the Trade Compliance Team, responsible for ensuring adherence to international trade control laws, particularly UK and US export controls and customs regulations. This role involves advising stakeholders, managing compliance documentation, and securing necessary export approvals. The position requires a solid understanding of trade compliance requirements and the ability to implement relevant policies and processes effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise stakeholders on trade compliance requirements for imports and exports.
• Contribute to the implementation of local Trade Compliance policies, processes, and tools.
• Support awareness and training sessions related to trade compliance.
• Review, create, and approve trade compliance documentation and requests.
• Apply for UK export approvals and US EAR licenses.
• Liaise with internal functions to ensure compliance with US export legislation.
• Manage customs authorisations and renewals.
• Secure export controls with record keeping and reporting.

Key Skills:

• Knowledge and experience with UK and US export regulations (ITAR and EAR).
• Understanding of UK customs regulations.
• Experience in defence and/or dual-use sectors (preferred).
• Some knowledge of EU Export Controls (preferred).
• Associated degree in law, international business, or engineering (preferred).
• 1 to 3 years of import/export controls experience.
• Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance.
