Summary: The Tools Development Engineer role at an aerospace client in Broughton focuses on the industrialization of Jigs and Tools, overseeing their development and modification until handover to the Operations Team. The position requires collaboration with R&D to align technologies with operational needs and involves producing technical assessments and qualification processes. Candidates should have a strong technical background in aircraft production and manufacturing engineering. This is an onsite position with a contract lasting until the end of 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the creation, development, and modification of Jigs and Tools requests until final acceptance.
  • Integrate mature industrial technologies in collaboration with R&D.
  • Design and specify Jigs and Tools assets to meet operational needs.
  • Contribute to production investigations through tooling and metrology expertise.
  • Produce technical assessments, acceptance reports, and comprehensive design datasets for Jigs and Tools assets.
  • Define certification and qualification processes for Jigs and Tools assets.

Key Skills:

  • Strong technical skills in manufacturing disciplines.

  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, Design, and Business Information Systems.
