Summary: The Tooling Project Engineer will lead the development and delivery of injection mould tooling projects for plastic components within the Global Plastics Group of a biopharma and laboratory leader. This role emphasizes managing projects that ensure high standards of quality, cost-efficiency, and durability throughout the product lifecycle. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and a strong understanding of plastic component manufacturing. Travel may be necessary for supplier visits and site collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end tooling projects for injection moulded components
- Collaborate with Product Development, Quality, Operations, and global stakeholders
- Support design for manufacture and industrialisation of plastic parts
- Source and develop tooling suppliers, ensuring alignment to company standards
- Lead tooling qualification activities (FOT, FAT, IQ, OQ, PQ, PPAP)
- Drive issue resolution and continuous improvement across tooling projects
- Review technical drawings and support engineering changes
Key Skills:
- Proven experience managing injection mould tooling projects
- Strong understanding of plastic component manufacturing and industrialisation
- Experience working cross-functionally in a global environment
- Knowledge of tooling qualification processes (PPAP, IQ/OQ/PQ, FAT, etc.)

We are seeking an experienced Tooling Project Engineer to join a global leader in the biopharma and laboratory sector. This role sits within the Global Plastics Group and will focus on delivering high-quality injection mould tooling projects that support the full product lifecycle.
The Role
You will lead the development and delivery of injection mould tools for plastic components used in single-use products. Working on Product Lifecycle Management projects, you’ll ensure new tooling for existing products meets the highest standards of quality, cost-efficiency, and durability.
