Summary: The TLM (Transaction Lifecycle Management) Developer role is a contract position based in London, UK, focusing on the development and support of reconciliation and transaction monitoring solutions within a Payments Technology team. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience with SmartStream TLM and payment processing systems, collaborating closely with various stakeholders. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring two days on-site each week, and is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain SmartStream TLM solutions for payment reconciliation and transaction lifecycle management.
- Configure and support reconciliation workflows, matching rules, exceptions handling, and reporting within TLM.
- Work on payment-related platforms covering SWIFT, CHAPS, Faster Payments, SEPA, and international payments.
- Collaborate with business analysts and operations teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform production support, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution for TLM applications.
- Develop interfaces between TLM and upstream/downstream banking systems.
- Participate in system integration testing, UAT support, and release deployments.
- Ensure solutions are aligned with HSBC architecture, security, and compliance standards.
- Prepare technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.
Key Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with SmartStream TLM development and configuration.
- Good understanding of Payments domain within banking/financial services.
- Experience with reconciliation processes, exception management, and transaction monitoring.
- Knowledge of payment messaging standards including SWIFT MT/MX, ISO 20022.
- Experience with SQL, Oracle, Unix/Linux scripting, and database concepts.
- Familiarity with APIs, file-based integrations, and middleware technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production support and delivery environment.
