Summary: The Tier 3 Data Network Engineer role involves leading the migration of LAN and Wi-Fi services to a Meraki solution for a major UK infrastructure provider. The position requires extensive experience with Meraki and Cisco networks, particularly in enterprise migrations and decommissions. The engineer will collaborate with Network Architects and Project Management teams to ensure successful network builds and deployments. Occasional travel to client sites is expected in this hybrid working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the migration of LAN and Wi-Fi services from Cisco to Meraki DIA solutions.
- Troubleshooting and identifying existing corporate services across Cisco and Meraki environments.
- Decommissioning legacy corporate network infrastructure.
- Supporting the installation and rollout of Meraki WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi at new sites.
- Collaborating with Network Architects on design and optimisation.
- Liaising with Project Management teams for network builds and deployments.
Key Skills:
- Proven Tier 3-level network engineering experience.
- Deep hands-on knowledge of Meraki hardware, configurations, and deployments.
- Strong understanding of Cisco enterprise networks.
- Experience in network migration, decommissioning, and rollout projects.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with project stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.
