Summary: The role of Third-Party Risk Manager involves supporting a global consulting firm in managing third-party risk for a major financial services client. The focus is on enhancing the quality and consistency of vendor risk assessments within an established framework. The position requires expertise in assessing vendor financial stability and operational impact in regulated environments. The engagement is set for an initial 10 months with potential for extension, primarily on-site in London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with business units to identify and validate critical suppliers across engagements, geographies and business lines
- Conduct third-party risk assessments, analysing the potential impact of supplier disruption
- Collect vendor financial data through internal platforms, external data sources or directly from vendors
- Perform quantitative financial analysis assessing supplier financial stability
- Carry out qualitative assessments using financial statements, audit reports and supporting documentation
- Produce executive summaries outlining supplier risk exposure and assessment outcomes
- Review and improve existing supplier risk assessments, ensuring consistency, accuracy and audit readiness
- Support audit and regulatory assurance activities by ensuring supplier risk documentation and data quality meet governance standards
Key Skills:
- Experience within Third-Party Risk Management, Vendor Risk or Supplier Risk
- Experience assessing critical suppliers within financial services or regulated environments
- Strong understanding of vendor financial risk and financial stability analysis
- Experience working with TPRM platforms such as ProcessUnity, Archer, ServiceNow or similar
- Ability to produce clear executive-level risk summaries
- Exposure to operational resilience, supplier risk governance or regulatory frameworks
- Experience supporting audit readiness or regulatory review processes

Robert Half are supporting a global S&P 500 consulting firm to bring in an interim contractor as an Associate to support delivery across a major financial services client on Third-Party Risk Management and critical supplier oversight initiatives. The engagement sits within a mature TPRM and operational resilience environment, focused on strengthening the quality, consistency and audit readiness of critical vendor risk assessments. The programme already has a defined set of critical suppliers and established processes in place, and the focus will be on validating, improving and strengthening existing assessments rather than building a new framework. We are looking for a senior supplier risk or third-party risk specialist who understands how to assess vendor financial stability, disruption risk and operational impact across critical suppliers in regulated environments.
Assignment Details
Rate : c. £ 500–£600 per day via PAYE plus 12.07% holiday pay
Contract : Initial 10 month engagement with potential extension to 12 months
Location : City of London – 4 DAYS PER WEEK ON SITE (company policy)
Start : 1st week in April
