Summary: The Testing and Test Automation Manager will lead the development and implementation of test automation strategies as part of a digital transformation initiative at Midland Heart. This role involves managing a team of System Integration and Test Engineers to ensure comprehensive automation testing of web, mobile, and integrated solutions. The position is a fixed-term contract for 24 months, focusing on continuous improvement in testing practices to enhance solution development efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automation testing and leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of test automation strategies.
• Manage a team of System Integration and Test Engineers.
• Design and build frameworks for UI, unit, API, and security testing.
• Ensure comprehensive coverage and efficient defect detection.
• Collaborate with Application Development and Project teams.
• Drive continuous improvement of testing practices.
• Present testing outcomes to Project Boards.

Key Skills:

• Degree in a computer-related subject or professional qualifications in software testing or automation (e.g., ISTQB).
• Experience as an Automation Tester, SDET, or similar at a senior level.
• Demonstrable experience in various testing types (system, integration, UAT, end-to-end, performance, functional, non-functional).
• Experience working with Playwright.
• Line management experience or strong ambition for a line management career.
• Leadership aptitude and capability.
