Summary: The role of Tester involves strong integration testing skills across cloud platforms, specifically supporting a Higher Education client with a Salesforce Education Cloud implementation. The Tester will validate end-to-end integrations and ensure non-functional requirements are met while embedding test automation into CI/CD pipelines in an Agile, DevOps-enabled environment. Essential experience includes system integration testing and familiarity with Azure integration services, REST API testing, and non-functional testing. The position is a 12-month contract with hybrid working arrangements based in London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Validate end-to-end integrations for Salesforce Education Cloud implementation.
  • Ensure non-functional requirements across performance, security, reliability, and automation.
  • Build test coverage into CI/CD pipelines in an Agile, DevOps-enabled environment.
  • Conduct system integration testing across distributed systems and cloud platforms.
  • Utilize Azure integration services, REST API testing, and test automation tools.
  • Manage defects, documentation, and test traceability using tools like Azure Boards or Jira.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in system integration testing across distributed systems and cloud platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure integration services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, API Management).
  • Experience with REST API testing, Swagger/OpenAPI validation, and API test automation.
  • Solid background in non-functional testing, including performance, security, and resilience testing.
  • Capability in DevOps testing and embedding test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with test automation and load testing tools (Postman, JMeter, Locust, Selenium, or ReadyAPI).
  • Experience with monitoring/logging platforms such as Azure Monitor or Application Insights.
  • Strong defect management and documentation skills using Azure Boards, Jira, or TestRail.
  • Knowledge of GDPR compliance and security testing.
  • ISTQB Foundation or equivalent testing qualification.

  • Experience in system integration testing across distributed systems and cloud platforms.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure integration services (Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Service Bus, API Management).
  • Experience with REST API testing, Swagger/OpenAPI validation, and API test automation.
  • Solid background in non-functional testing, including performance, security, and resilience testing.
  • Capability in DevOps testing, with the ability to embed test automation into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar.
  • Experience of using test automation and load testing tools (Postman, JMeter, Locust, Selenium, or ReadyAPI)

  • Experience with Higher Education systems, especially SITS and student lifecycle integrations.
  • Expereince of Salesforce Education Cloud and Canvas LMS APIs and data structures.
  • Knowledge of GDPR compliance, security testing, and data masking in test environments.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code and test environment automation.
  • Experience with contract testing frameworks (Pact) and API mocking/stubbing approaches.
  • ISTQB Foundation or equivalent testing qualification.

12 month contract with scope to extend Hybrid workign with 2 days on site per week in London £400.00 per day outside of IR35
