Summary: Test Technicians are needed for Hitachi in Newton Aycliffe, responsible for conducting routine testing and validation on fleet trains while adhering to strict health and safety guidelines. The role involves recording and analyzing test results, resolving failures, and supporting the development of test procedures. Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake routine Test and Validation on Hitachi fleet trains as per laid down procedures.
• Record and analyze test results and resolve any potential failures.
• Support Engineers in developing and implementing test procedures.
• Carry out routine testing and record results as per stipulated processes.
• Monitor and update the asset management system (e.g., SAP).
• Support Team Leads and Engineers in investigation of failures.
• Assist in training and development of colleagues in test procedures.
• Flexibility to work in various areas within the factory, including off-site as needed.
• Adhere to Hitachi’s health and safety policies and equal opportunities policy.

Key Skills:

• Educated to minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline, preferably electrical.
• Strong Health and Safety ethos.
• Experience in testing and engineering.

• Attention to detail and determination on quality standards.
• Ability to interpret test results and conduct failure investigations.
