Test Technician

Summary: The Test Technician role at Expleo Engineering involves supporting engine testing operations within new test cells at Warwick University. The position requires collaboration with engineers to ensure proper maintenance of laboratory equipment and adherence to safety and quality standards. This is a 12-month contract opportunity aimed at candidates with relevant technical qualifications and experience in automotive testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure facilities are in good working order and conduct user maintenance activities.
• Assist equipment suppliers in the functional maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Support engineers in liaising with customers to derive complete technical test requirements.
• Operate facilities and support processes to meet H&S and ISO standards 16949 and 14001.
• Monitor and transfer knowledge to new team associates as required.

Key Skills:

• City & Guilds Level 3 in a relevant discipline and/or a fully time-served apprenticeship.
• Detail engine inspection, disassembly, and assembly skills.
• Understanding of internal combustion systems and preparation of units under test.
• Fabrication, welding, and basic machining skills are advantageous.
• Understanding of instrumentation installation.
