Contract Test Technician - Dyno / Motor Testing

Location: Norwich, Norfolk

Rate: Up to £55 per hour, outside IR35

We're looking for an experienced Test Technician to join a specialist electronics engineering client of ours in Norwich on an urgent contract basis. This role is centred around dynamometer (dyno) testing of electric motors and drive systems, working hands-on in a fast-paced test environment alongside a skilled engineering team.

The Role

You'll be responsible for setting up and executing rotational dyno tests, configuring motors and test equipment, operating data acquisition systems, and capturing and validating test data to engineering standards. You'll also play an active role in troubleshooting and debug activities on dyno systems, working closely with engineers throughout.

What We're Looking For

Previous dyno or test rig experience is strongly preferred, alongside an electrical or electronics bias. We're open to candidates from a range of sectors. Relevant experience could come from:

  • Automotive test & development
  • Marine propulsion or naval systems
  • Rail engineering
  • Industrial motors or drives
  • Wind turbines or rotating machinery

You should be practical, methodical and comfortable working with a degree of autonomy in a technical environment.

Up to £55 per hour, Outside IR35

3 month initial contract with strong potential to extend
