Job Title: Test Specialist Location: NW London (near Hendon) Contract Duration: 12 months Clearance: SC or NPPV (or eligibility for fast-track NPPV clearance) Rate: 351/day to 471/day Work Policy: 3 days in office or customer site per week My Client is seeking an experienced Test Specialist to join our team in NW London. This is a pivotal role that focuses on leading a diverse testing team while overseeing the full lifecycle of integration testing for complex projects. As a Test Specialist, you will be accountable for ensuring high-quality testing within your area of expertise, whether technical or business-related. You will play an integral role in defining testing scope, planning, execution, and managing progress to meet strict time, budget, and quality targets. Key Responsibilities: Team Coordination: Lead and manage a diverse testing team to deliver testing objectives on time and within budget. Test Lifecycle Management: Oversee the full integration testing lifecycle, ensuring adherence to testing goals, troubleshooting blockers, and managing risk. Technical Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert in your specific testing area, applying your expertise to enhance the quality and efficiency of testing processes. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal senior stakeholders, customers, and project managers to gather insights and refine testing approaches based on business needs. Reporting & Monitoring: Ensure all day-to-day testing activities are on track, provide regular progress reports, and manage defect tracking and resolution. Qualifications & Skills: Clearance: SC or NPPV clearance (or eligibility for fast-track clearance). Certifications: ISTQB Advanced/Foundation certification in Testing. Experience: Proven experience in system and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) scope definition, plans, specs writing, test execution, and reporting. Functional & Non-Functional Testing: Hands-on experience in test preparation, execution, and defect management. Technical Expertise: Experience with contact center systems, call routing, telephony, WFM (Workforce Management), voice recording, and unified communications. Networking Knowledge: Understanding of WAN/LAN, firewalls, and security. Tools & Technologies: Familiarity with technologies like Cisco WebEx, Mitel, or Genesis.
