Summary: The Test Manager for the Workday Finance Programme is a leadership role focused on ensuring the quality and effectiveness of testing procedures within the Future of Finance programme. The position requires exceptional planning and interpersonal skills to lead a team in achieving project milestones. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test management, particularly in business change programmes, and will be responsible for overseeing all testing activities. This role is crucial for aligning testing efforts with programme requirements and managing risks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain test strategies, plans, and procedures.
- Define testing scope, objectives, and deliverables for each test phase.
- Identify and manage testing-related risks.
- Lead and motivate a team of testers from Finance and IT.
- Coordinate the creation and execution of test scripts and use cases.
- Provide timely updates to stakeholders regarding test progress and results.
- Identify areas for improvement in testing processes and tools.
- Ensure defects are reported, assigned, and resolved promptly.
- Work closely with stakeholders to align testing efforts with programme requirements.
Key Skills:
- Solid understanding of test management tools, techniques, and methodologies.
- Hands-on test management experience in a business change programme environment.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills at all seniority levels.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to influence and lead a team towards common goals.
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience managing testing for Workday implementations.
- Experience within financial transformation programmes is a major plus.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps in a test management capacity is advantageous.
