Summary: The Test Manager (QA/Quality Engineering) role involves leading the test strategy and management for a major transformation program, requiring a blend of technical expertise and extensive experience in finance-related projects. The position is based in London with a hybrid working arrangement, necessitating on-site presence 2-3 days a week. The role is contract-based for approximately 11 months, with a daily rate of £280 inside IR35. Candidates must have a strong background in QA and finance systems, along with proven stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the Test strategy, planning, and scheduling across multiple releases within the transformation programme.
- Manage system integration, data validation, UAT, regression, and Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT) across Policy and claims administration platforms, and related financial systems.
- Collaborate with Actuarial, Finance, Data Governance, and IT teams to ensure comprehensive Test coverage aligned with business objectives and regulatory standards.
- Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills, engaging effectively with cross functional teams including IFRS17, Actuarial, Regulatory & Statutory Reporting.
- Ensure adherence to non-functional requirements such as performance, financial controls, and service assurance standards.
- Support go-live readiness through detailed cutover planning, and post-implementation validation to maintain operational stability.
Key Skills:
- Preferably served as Test Manager or has 20+ years' experience in QA/Quality Engineering (technical background preferred).
- 10+ years' experience in Delivery Test Management on strategic, complex transformation programmes.
- Proven experience in managing Finance & Actuarial programs.
- Strong understanding of Finance Data Systems (Premiums & claims), SAP GL, and MDM tools (Ataccama preferred).
- Knowledge of actuarial reserving processes and claims accounting (record to report processes) is a must.
- Hands-on experience with ETL testing, SQL for data validation and reconciliations.
- Worked with Underwriting team or as Underwriters for Super Cube Reporting to consolidate U/W Result dimensions across multiple regions.
- Familiarity with reporting tools, EUCs, and data remediation processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technical domains.
- Familiarity with governance frameworks, change management, and release planning in regulated environments.

Role Description:
Must Have Qualifications
1. Preferably served as Test Manager or has 20+ years' experience in QA/Quality Engineering (technical background preferred).
2. 10+ years' experience in Delivery Test Management on strategic, complex transformation programmes.
3. Proven experience in managing Finance & Actuarial programs.
4. UK-based candidate
5. Master's degree in a STEM subject.
6. Availability: Less than 1 month.
1) Experience as a Test Lead/Test Manager in large-scale Finance Transformation or ERP projects.
2) Strong understanding of Finance Data Systems (Premiums & claims), SAP GL, and MDM tools (Ataccama preferred).

Familiarity with governance frameworks, change management, and release planning in regulated environments
