A leading global Travel Technology client is looking for an experienced Test Manager to join their team on a contract basis. This role will be responsible for leading testing activities within a large-scale Implementation of an UK&I programme of work.

What You'll Do:

As a Test Manager, you will:

1. Manage Testing Activities: Oversee all testing activities, maintaining high quality and reliability standards.
2. Develop Strategies: Create and implement detailed test strategies, plans, and schedules tailored to project needs.
3. Resource Management: Identify and allocate the necessary resources, tools, and environments for successful testing.
4. Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with development, operations, and project management teams to ensure seamless workflows.
5. Defect Management: Identify, track, and manage defects through to resolution.
6. Reporting: Generate detailed test reports and communicate test progress and outcomes to stakeholders effectively.
7. Ensure Compliance: Adhere to relevant standards and security requirements throughout all testing activities.

What We're Looking For:

Essential Skills and Experience:

• SC Clearance Eligibility: You must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC).
• Proven Expertise: Experience in test management within complex programmes, preferably within central government/public sector.
• Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire testing teams while promoting continuous improvement.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Effective Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Sector Experience: Prior experience in defence or government programmes is highly desirable.
• Certifications: ISTQB certification or equivalent in software testing is a bonus.
• Technical Tools: Familiarity with various testing tools and frameworks is an advantage.
