We are looking for an experienced DV Cleared Test Manager to join a major transformation programme supporting a high-profile UK public sector organisation.

You will be responsible for leading the end-to-end testing function across complex technology and transformation programmes, ensuring solutions meet defined quality, performance, security and business requirements before being released into production.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage testing activities across the full delivery lifecycle.
• Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, plans and approaches.
• Define testing scope, objectives, entry and exit criteria and acceptance standards.
• Manage functional, integration, system, regression, performance and user acceptance testing.
• Lead test teams, assigning responsibilities and managing delivery against agreed timelines.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, Architects and Product Owners.
• Ensure appropriate test environments, data and tooling are available.
• Identify, manage and report defects, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Oversee defect management and ensure issues are prioritised and resolved effectively.
• Produce clear and accurate test reporting for technical and senior stakeholders.
• Establish appropriate test governance, processes and quality standards.
• Ensure testing activities align with security, compliance and organisational requirements.
• Support release planning and provide test assurance and recommendations for production deployment.
• Continuously improve testing processes, tools and ways of working.

Essential Experience

• Active DV clearance – essential.
• Proven experience working as a Test Manager on complex technology or transformation programmes.
• Strong experience managing end-to-end testing across large-scale projects.
• Experience developing and implementing test strategies and test plans.
• Strong understanding of different testing methodologies, including functional, integration, system, regression and UAT.
• Experience managing test teams and coordinating multiple testing activities.
• Strong defect, risk and issue management experience.
• Experience working with Agile and/or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Strong understanding of the software development and testing lifecycle.
• Experience working with senior technical and business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organisation and reporting skills.
