Summary: The Test Manager will lead complex testing programs within a major transformation portfolio, focusing on robust testing strategy and governance across various customer-centric initiatives. This role requires collaboration with multiple vendors and workstreams, ensuring effective test delivery and continuous improvement of processes. The position is based in Southampton, requiring 2-3 days onsite per week. The initial contract duration is 6 months with a likely extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead test delivery across complex, multi-vendor environments
- Define and embed test strategy across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery frameworks
- Implement best practices across automation, manual testing, test governance and quality assurance
- Oversee environment readiness, test data management, and reporting of test metrics
- Engage with senior stakeholders, resolving blockers and ensuring continuous improvement of test processes
- Ensure traceability of test activities across diverse programmes in a heavily regulated setting
Key Skills:
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end test management in complex transformation settings
- Strong automation experience using tools such as Selenium, UFT, Playwright, or Katalon
- Working knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD)
- Experience working within matrix organisations and managing multiple delivery streams
- Strong grasp of test governance, including metrics, reporting, environment/data readiness
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills
- Hands-on test leadership across CI/CD-enabled environments (desirable)
