Summary: The Test Manager role involves overseeing the delivery and enhancement of a secure digital platform within an agile framework. The position requires collaboration with Scrum teams and key stakeholders to ensure effective testing strategies and quality assurance. The successful candidate will lead a small team of SDETs and drive test automation initiatives. This is a 6-month contract based in Glasgow with remote working options available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a small team of SDETs
- Own and coordinate test planning, schedules and delivery
- Drive test automation across CI/CD pipelines
- Build and maintain testing artefacts, identifying risks and improvements
- Manage third-party testing providers
- Support stable, secure and high-quality releases
Key Skills:
- Strong test management experience with the ability to assess overall test coverage, identify gaps and evaluate risk
- Proven capability to review project deliverables, define test cases and direct SDETs on testing priorities
- Experience assessing and selecting test tooling and frameworks, embedding best-fit solutions across teams
- Strong agile delivery experience and stakeholder engagement
- Best-practice test approaches and automation
- CI/CD (GitHub Actions), Selenium WebDriver
- Java, JavaScript, BDD (Gherkin/Cucumber)
- AWS environments
- Databases: MariaDB, Oracle, MySQL or AWS Aurora (2+)
- MySQL Scripting (2+ years in the last 5 years)

We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to support the delivery and ongoing evolution of a secure digital platform within an agile environment. You will work closely with Scrum teams, a Service Owner and Lead Architect, ensuring effective test strategy, automation and quality assurance across complex technology programmes.
