Summary: The Programme Test Manager role is a hands-on position focused on quality assurance for products developed within a public sector context. The successful candidate will engage with stakeholders to refine testing strategies, manage resources, and ensure comprehensive testing is executed. This position requires a strong background in testing processes and agile development environments. The contract is for 11 months with a possibility of extension up to 23 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with stakeholders to understand systems under test, architecture, and requirements.
- Refine the Programme Test Strategy and ways of working.
- Understand testing dependencies and prioritize components for test schedules.
- Produce Test Plans aligned to the programme test strategy.
- Define testing resource requirements and manage the testing resources.
- Ensure all appropriate testing types are executed and traceable to requirements.
- Define Test Environment Requirements and highlight dependencies.
- Monitor testing schedules against the delivery plan and produce progress reports.
- Produce Test Completion Reports highlighting residual risks and mitigation.
- Participate in implementation readiness activities and strive for continuous improvement.
- Be an active participant in the Testing Practice and Testing forums.

One of Loriens leading Public Sector Clients are looking for a highly experienced Programme Test Manager to join the team.
Assignment Description
This hands-on Programme Test Manager role will provide the testing knowledge, expertise, and capability to quality assure the products being developed against the product requirements/other test basis.
Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders (including 3rd parties) to understand the systems under test, architecture, associated interfaces, business processes, and requirements
- Refine the Programme Test Strategy and ways of working
- Understand testing dependencies and feed into the prioritisation ofcomponents being delivered by the teams in order to produce test schedules aligned to wider service delivery plan
- Produce appropriate level of Test Plans (strategies) aligned to programme test strategy
- Define testing resource requirements and manage the testing resources assigned to the service test team
- Be responsible for ensuring that all appropriate testing types are executed as defined within the Test Plan, and that tests are evidenced accordingly and traceable to requirements/other test basis
- Define Test Environment Requirements highlighting dependencies
- Actively monitor testing schedules against delivery plan, producing progress reports, RAG status, interim quality assessment, and highlighting risks, and issues and recommending mitigation steps
- Produce Test Completion Reports highlighting residual risks and recommended mitigation
- Participate in implementation readiness activities
- Strive for continuous improvement; input to test improvements roadmap
- Be an active participant in the Testing Practice and Testing forums
