The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the MHHS program and the energy industry, combined with strong leadership and strategic skills to manage testing initiatives across complex systems and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities;

Test Strategy Development and Execution:
- Design, develop, and implement a comprehensive test strategy for the MHHS program.
- Ensure the strategy aligns with program goals, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with industry stakeholders, including suppliers, distribution network operators (DNOs), and central bodies, to ensure alignment on testing objectives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for test strategy-related discussions with program teams and external partners.

End-to-End Test Coordination:
- Oversee planning and execution of end-to-end testing phases, including system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and performance testing.
- Ensure seamless integration and interoperability of MHHS systems and platforms.

Risk and Issue Management:
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks associated with the testing lifecycle.
- Proactively address testing issues and ensure resolution aligns with program timelines.

Governance and Reporting:
- Establish testing governance frameworks to ensure consistency and quality across all testing activities.
- Provide regular updates, reports, and recommendations to senior management and program stakeholders.

Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor a team of testing professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Build capability within the team to handle complex program testing requirements.
Key Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Test Strategy Lead or similar role in complex, large-scale programs.
- In-depth knowledge of the MHHS program, including regulatory frameworks, industry impacts, and technical considerations.
- Expertise in designing and implementing test strategies for end-to-end system integration.
- Strong understanding of the energy sector, including settlements, market processes, and IT systems.
- Experience with test management tools, automation frameworks, and defect tracking systems.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across multiple levels of an organisation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
Desirable Qualifications
- Certification in software testing (eg, ISTQB Advanced Test Manager).
- Project management certification (eg, PRINCE2, PMP, or Agile).
- Experience with testing in regulated environments or public sector programs.
