Test Lead
Summary: The Test Lead role involves overseeing the test strategy, quality assurance, and user acceptance testing for a large-scale transformation programme. The position requires strong leadership in coordinating testing activities across various teams and vendors. The contract is initially for six months with the possibility of extension, based in the West Midlands with a hybrid working arrangement. The role is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and maintain the overall test strategy, approach, quality gates, and entry/exit criteria.
- Lead and coordinate testing activity across workstreams, business teams, vendors and delivery partners.
- Oversee SIT planning, execution, defect management, reporting and assurance of deliverables.
- Plan and manage UAT, including acceptance criteria, test scenarios, defect resolution and business sign-off.
- Provide QA governance, quality reporting, risk escalation and go-live readiness support.
Key Skills:
- Significant experience leading testing across large-scale transformation programmes.
- Strong knowledge of SIT, UAT, defect management, QA governance and test reporting.
- Experience working with third-party vendors, system integrators and senior stakeholders.
- Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365, Salesforce, SAP, or Oracle platforms.
