  • Travel globally for installations, spending approximately 20-30% of time on the road.

Fantastic opportunity for both an Experienced Scientific Test & Installation Engineer or Jnr Physicist/Chemist/Engineer! The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below. We have an exciting opportunity for experienced (or would be) test and installation engineers. Focusing on surface analysis instrumentation, you will perform a range of tests including electronic, software/hardware and run calibration standards. Your goal to remedy any instrument glitches through extensive electronics and software testing prior to shipment. You will then visit global customer sites; installing the instrumentation on a worldwide basis and provide post installation servicing/support where required. The Ideal Candidate Will Have A formal qualification in a related scientific discipline (Physics, Chemistry etc) or Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic) Experience with troubleshooting & fault-finding Knowledge of complex scientific instrumentation & associated sub-systems such as vacuum technology would also be beneficial. Excellent communication and team skills are essential. This is a unique opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technology in a customer-facing environment. You must be willing to spend ca. 20-30% of your time travelling globally.
