Summary: The Test Environment Manager is responsible for defining and implementing an environment strategy for a green field setup, managing deployment schedules, and ensuring the availability of non-production environments during application migrations. This role involves tracking versioning of artifacts, triaging environmental issues, and collaborating with engineering leadership to optimize environmental strategies. The position requires a proactive approach to managing conflicts and ensuring best practices are followed for environmental availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defining and implementing Environment strategy from scratch for a green field setup
  • Creating and managing the schedule for deployments while interfacing with environment management teams from other providers
  • Supporting mapping and articulation of the interim transition states of applications and environments during migrations of applications
  • Tracking the exact versioning of all the artefacts across non-production environments at any point in time while ensuring this can be recalled for audit purposes
  • Implementing schedules that allow critical BAU changes to navigate applications migrations
  • Identifying and managing environmental conflicts ahead of time
  • Triaging environmental issues and incidents which impact test/non-production environment availability
  • Recommending best practices for optimizing approach to tracking environmental availability
  • Capturing KPIs to show the efficiency of the environments through the route to live
  • Working with Engineering Leadership to create an environmental strategy both during migrations and after migrations have completed

Key Skills:

  • Experience in defining and implementing environment strategies
  • Strong project management skills, particularly in scheduling and deployment
  • Knowledge of application migration processes
