Responsibilities
- Assembling and commissioning a production ATE rack - power supplies, industrial PC, touchscreen HMI, measurement and switching hardware, safety hardware
- Integrating barcode scanner, fixture interfaces, DUT connection harnesses and test accessories
- Cable routing, labelling, continuity and insulation checks, basic electrical verification
- Fitting and aligning the test fixture - pin mapping, mechanical interface checks, design-for-maintenance improvements
- Developing and debugging the LabVIEW production test application — serial number scanning, product ID, config detection, sequence control, pass/fail logic, diagnostics and operator prompts
- Implementing test data logging, results storage and production reporting; supporting executable build and release
- Covering digital I/O, relay outputs, analogue inputs, and comms testing (Ethernet, RS232, RS485, CAN)
- Debugging integration issues, reducing false failures, and supporting pilot builds through to manufacturing handover
Requirements
- Automated test equipment development experience
- Strong National Instruments LabVIEW development skills
- Hands-on electrical hardware debug and test instrumentation experience
- Experience integrating power supplies, DAQ, switching, measurement equipment and production fixtures
- Comfortable working independently on-site with production and engineering teams
- Clear documentation and structured fault-finding approach
Contract details
Up to £55 per hour, Outside IR35, Gatwick - Hybrid - ASAP start - 3 months initially
