Summary: The Test Engineer (Data) role involves supporting a major SAP RISE transformation programme by enhancing the quality and reliability of financial data flows. The position emphasizes test advocacy, automation, and coaching teams on best testing practices. The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering, product, and finance teams to embed quality into the product lifecycle. This is a 6-month contract with hybrid working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Improve testing maturity across teams working on data pipelines and financial data feeds
  • Embed testability, automation and validation into CI/CD pipelines
  • Define testing approaches across environments (dev, test, pre-prod, prod)
  • Validate data accuracy, completeness and transformation into SAP
  • Coach engineers on testing practices and quality ownership

Key Skills:

  • Experience testing data pipelines, APIs or backend systems
  • Strong test automation experience (frameworks and tooling)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS or similar)
  • Experience with SAP or ERP integrations is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Salary (Rate): £550 daily

Test Engineer (Data) - SAP Transformation

We're hiring a Test Engineer with strong data testing experience to join a newly formed team supporting a major SAP RISE transformation programme modernising infrastructure and financial data platforms.

You'll work with engineering, product and finance teams to improve the quality, reliability and trustworthiness of financial data flows feeding SAP. The focus of the role is test advocacy, automation and coaching teams on testing best practices, embedding quality directly into the product lifecycle.
