Summary: The Test Engineer - Chassis Dyno role involves operating the Environmental Chassis Emissions Dyno and supporting the Lead Engineer in technical engagements with clients and third-party teams. The position requires preparation and execution of vehicle tests, data reporting, and adherence to safety and ISO standards. The role is contract-based with potential for yearly renewal and is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the Environmental Chassis Emissions Dyno and prepare vehicles for testing.
- Engage with clients and third-party engineering teams to understand test requirements.
- Report and explain test data results to customers.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety and ISO standards.
- Transfer knowledge and provide training to new team members.
- Maintain the physical operation and upkeep of the facility.
Key Skills:
- Experience with AVL SCADA, PUMA, CAMEO & ETAS INCA.
- Knowledge of ICE emissions measurement and evaluation processes.
- Understanding of rig/laboratory-based testing in ICE systems.
- Strong planning and program management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively at an operational level.
- Experience in an ICE engineering environment.
