Summary: The Test Engineer role within the Battery Abuse Testing team focuses on delivering safety-critical battery test programs at the Nuneaton site. We are recruiting a Test Engineer within our Battery Abuse Testing team, The role is to support the delivery of safety-critical battery test programmes at our Nuneaton site. This role acts as the technical interface between customers and internal teams, supporting the safe set-up, execution and reporting of battery abuse tests.

The Battery Abuse Test facility is an outdoor test site, and the role involves hands-on engineering work in a controlled, safety-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, set-up and execution of battery abuse tests
  • Act as a technical point of contact for customers and internal teams
  • Review and approve test configurations prior to test initiation
  • Capture, review and validate test data
  • Maintain test documentation including risk assessments and work instructions

What we're looking for:
Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
Strong technical and practical engineering skills
Customer-focused with good communication skills
Experience working in test, trials or safety-critical environments

Please note:

This is a 12-month contract Inside IR35
This role is to be paid up to £30 p/hr inclusive of holiday pay - based on skills and experience.
The role is working 39 hours a week
Some shift working/overtime maybe required - an allowance will be paid accordingly in line with agency worker regulations
