Summary: The role of Test Engineer requires an experienced professional with strong automation skills, specifically in Playwright and Provar for Salesforce, along with a background in banking or insurance. The engineer will support the Test Lead in ensuring high-quality delivery and will act as a backup when necessary. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Playwright and Provar (for Salesforce).
• Support the Test Lead in test planning, reporting, and stakeholder updates.
• Act as a backup Test Lead when required, ensuring continuity in testing processes.
• Perform functional, regression, and integration testing in complex banking/insurance environments.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (eg, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Identify defects, track issues in JIRA/Zephyr, and ensure timely resolution.
• Mentor junior testers and promote best practices in test automation.

Key Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, preferably in banking, insurance, or financial services.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce testing using Provar.
• Proficiency in API testing (Postman/RestAssured) and SQL for database validation.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate issues and work with stakeholders.
• ISTQB/Similar certification is a plus.
