Summary: The Test Engineer (Accessibility) role involves working with a Central Government client to conduct extensive accessibility testing and full life cycle testing in Agile Digital environments. The position requires maintaining automated tests within CI/CD pipelines and ensuring compliance with accessibility standards. Candidates must have experience with accessibility testing tools and be eligible for SC clearance. The role is hybrid based in Manchester and is classified as inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain automated tests in continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Use, develop and standardise reusable frameworks and tools following engineering practices and standards.
- Analyse and test artefacts such as products, services and business processes.
- Promote quality considerations throughout the development life cycle.
- Support the resolution of technical issues.
Key Skills:
- Experience of testing applications for accessibility compliance using JAWS, Dragon, ZoomText.
- Knowledge of assessing applications against WCAG 2.2 AA standards and Microsoft Accessibility Standards for both UI and Mobile applications.
- Experience working in a government/public sector, digital and Agile environment.
- Eligibility for SC clearance.

Hybrid - Manchester 325 per day - Duration - 6 months Our Central Government Client is looking to bring in experienced Test Engineers with extensive Accessibility Testing and full life cycle testing experience in Agile Digital (DDaT) environments.
